There are 2 ways to pay for therapy. You can pay with your credit card - which is a flat fee of $150 per day session (45-55 minutes), or you can bill your insurance.
We are currently accepting Oxford, Oscar, Aetna, United Health Care, and Cigna. We are happy to verify your benefits and work with your insurance company.
Of course! It's important that we speak together first. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation so we can see if we are a good fit. It's important that I feel like I can help you and it's important that you feel like you can talk to me. If after 15 minutes you want to book a session we can, and if you don't want to book, then that's okay too! No hard feelings. Your needs come first and it's important for you to be comfortable with whomever you choose.
Instead of coming to my office, you will simply log in to your computer or smart device and join the session. While I can guarantee privacy on my end, if you join the session in the middle of the mall, I can't guarantee that someone won't hear you on your end. Just make sure you are in a comfortable setting where you feel like you can speak freely. I will take payment at the beginning of the session so our session can run all the way to the end without the last mad dash scramble of trying to accept payment.
During the first few sessions, I will typically get some back ground from you about your life and your support systems. I will assess your needs and make some recommendations of things that you might be able to start doing at home to make things a little better for you. During this time, we will set goals based on what you are wanting for you life. Goal setting is an exciting time because this is where we will start determining what you want your life to look gong forward.
After those first few sessions, we will work on your goals, learning new skills and strategies so you can create what you want in life.
Once you feel like you have a handle on what you are going to be doing going forward, and that you feel like you can use your new "tools" successfully, we can start decreasing therapy sessions, till you are ready to graduate from therapy all together.
That's completely up to you and how quickly you start feeling successful towards achieving your goals. For some it might be brief - like 6 sessions - for others, it might take many more sessions. As we go through therapy, we can discuss your progress and make sure you feel like you are getting what you need from me.
Depends on what you are wanting to accomplish. No worries though - there are no grades here - but there absolutely may be times where you practice skills we work on. Most clients find it helpful. If you don't? We look for alternative ways for you to develop these skills.
